Many students are unsure how online tutoring works. Here's a breakdown of the different ways you can use this service:
- Online Writing Lab allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with a tutor's comments - usually within 48 hours. You can submit up to three drafts per paper. All writers can benefit from feedback. Get into the good practice of seeking feedback and thoughtfully revising all writing assignments several times. Your grades will thank you!
- Live Tutoring via eChat allows you to meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment. eChat is a great service for students with specific questions or who need to "talk through" an assignment, specific concept or assigned problem.
- Offline Questions allows you to leave a specific question for an eTutor who will respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner).
- Resource Repository provides study guides and other reference materials for most eTutoring subjects. Who doesn't love ready-to-use study guides? The Repository can be found on the Resource tab after login.
